Happy Halloween (and a Welcome to Australia Party)
All I can say is better late than never! This post was waiting on a friend to send over her pics from the night since my camera IS ACTING A FOOL! She STILL hasn’t sent the pics but posted some on facebook
I have been very open minded to the Aussie culture including trying the food, embracing (for the most part) the laid back attitude, etc. HOWEVER, I am determined to introduce my friends to some American cultures as well. Reggie’s arrival was perfect timing for a party and another excuse to get decked out in costumes. A friend from work volunteered to host this wonderful event at her house so as not to stress me out further with getting my apartment ready for numerous guests.
We had a great time, there were plenty of drinks (even jello shots) and all my favorite music (thanks to Reggie dj’ing).
I was able to introduce him to so many of my new friends. Including a friend from high school that I haven’t seen in 10+ years (not pictured!). She recently moved to Sydney with her boyfriend (it’s a small world). The cowboys remind me of Broke.back Mou.nta.in
but they were super nice! I guess this what new relationships do to you!
We even had our very own Beyonce who took the extra step to get a spray tan to pull off the look…cut her some slack she is Scottish and apparently the sun doesn’t shine there.
I think thats Bob Marley behind that black furry thing! The dj even played some reggae for him. And surprisingly people knew the songs!!!
You know the night ended great when neither of us could remember exactly how we got home!
I wish I had more pics but you have to work with what you have. I will be purchasing one when I’m home in December!!!
