HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Happy New Year everyone! I’m very excited about what this year will bring!! This year I turn
30 (OMG!!) AND we’ll make another big move (more about that to come in future months!).
This year New Year’s eve was SO MUCH FUN! We got up early and went sailing for a boozy lunch cruise in the harbour with some of our friends. We had a bit of a hiccup getting to the right bay (seems our cab driver wasn’t really listening…I was on my best behavior…I didn’t cuss him out….though I was tempted). Fortunately the boat was late coming into dock so we
didn’t get left!
There is apparently a rule that you HAVE to bring food on these cruises (to ensure that you don’t
JUST bring liquor and get completely drunk on the cruise). We brought food but we also brought a lot of wine, beer, and spirits
.
About 12 of us were on this cruise, all friends or friends of friends so we were able to kick back and have a bit of fun. Of course Reggie dj’ed and took some time to experiment with the new camera….we have over 1000 pictures from the day cruise :-O. This was a harbour cruise so we
didn’t make it out to sea but did anchor close to a nude beach for those who wanted to brave the cold water and have a swim. I decided it was best not to take pictures of this since those taking advantage of the nude beach were old men.
The captain was really laid back and we got to help with steering the boat.
As the drinks flowed and the music kicked into high gear….of course there was dancing.
I’m not even sure what song this was but they were FEELING IT!

And maybe there was a bit of booty shaking….maybe. Even the skipper joined in on the
fun.
It was a great day, my friends loved Toya and Tiffany and they fit right in with the crowd.
We cruised around the harbour for 4.5 hours but we weren’t ready to go home once the boat
docked. Thankfully there was a park nearby where we could set up the rest of our food and drinks (and more tunes) and pick up where we left off! The boys even got to play a bit of cricket.
This was a great start to our new year’s celebration/partying. From here I had to head home and sleep some of this off!
I will post again to share how we brought in the new year! Hopefully I can get my video to work so you can see how AMAZING Sydney fireworks are!! Watch this space!
